I co-created a cooking class that sold only three tickets, which meant it had to be cancelled. I was really bummed. If you want to see cooking classes from me, tell me what you want.
I attended the Philly Chef’s Conference and it filled me with inspiration. Here’s one of the best bits: One chef said that new cooks needed to not only get really good at peeling potatoes but learn to authentically love peeling potatoes.
I’m not just a food and health writer/editor. I am also a tarot reader, and I read tarot at two public events. Incredible! When I first started learning tarot, I told my teacher, “I will never be able to read for others—I’m learning to read for myself.”
I’m also the editor of Edible Philly. We put in a lot of work on the forthcoming holiday issue and I think when it’s published next month you’re going to like it.
I have more jobs. I’m the fractional senior editor for MyFitnessPal. The content director went on vacation and I held down the content fort.
For a couple of months, I worked as a contract writer for Taste of Home. I wrote 88 recipes, mostly in the evenings.
I gave a talk to a wonderful group of older adults about how to eat healthy and manage cholesterol with diet.
While I was on a walk, a bird pooped on my head. This is a life experience I’ve had at least five times and I don’t understand why it keeps happening.
I saw AOC speak at Dickinson Square Park, where I go to the farmer’s market each week.
I opened my front door one day to find a piece of paper with this graphic printed on it. I wish I could give the artist credit. I don’t know who made it, but I appreciate it.
