I have Covid for the first time right now and have lost my sense of smell and most of my sense of taste, which has been my (almost) worst nightmare for the last 3+ years. I was deep into food preservation season, but I’m not sure if/when I’ll be back to enjoying food at all, and it’s honestly pretty depressing. The soup sounds delicious, though. Sorry you and Dan had to deal with Covid!
Camille, I am so sorry. I didn't experience those symptoms myself though of course I was afraid I would. If it's any consolation, other people have told me they did lose their sense of taste and smell and it does come back. I am sorry you are dealing with it, too. It seems like a lot of us who have avoided it so far are going down now. I'm sure you know this but rest is so important. I'm trying to practice "radical rest" for the next couple weeks until I feel fully restored.
The soup sounds delicious. When the crazy intense heat ends, I'll be makig it. In fact, with some noodles, this can be Rosh Hashona soup. All I wanted today in Philly after walking far too much was watermelon, tofu, cumber, tomato salad with ume vinegar.
I'm sorry you had a hard time with Covid. Take it easy. Healing takes time.
Continue to feel better. 🙏❤️
Glad you’re on the upswing!
