Well, they ain't vegan, but my emotional support snacks are always of the cheesy snack variety. Is this surprising at all? The Gouda-flavored Cape Cod chips and Triscuits toe the perfect line of weirdly satisfying when you're in a deep emotional hole. But plain old Triscuits never disappoint, either.

Triscuits--that is a genius suggestion.

Oh Joy. I'm so sorry that you're going through so much right now. One of my favorite comfort foods is tortilla chips and guac. I think it's the crunchy/salty, smooth/creamy pairing that helps.

Internet hugs! My sister just had that procedure & is on the mend, sending healing thoughts your way. I know it’s not so weather appropriate but a big bowl of chili is always a go to for me, piled with all the yummy toppings. Nourishing and yummy. Easier choice- good peanut butter. On a cracker, apple, toast, or if I’m feeling really desperate: big spoonful with a few chocolate chips, right to the mouth.

I also love a peanut butter based snack ❤️

Ugh. It's so hard to get all that news at once. I've been enjoying chia seed pudding as a healthy vehicle for fresh fruit or jams. Sending you deep breaths as you navigate this time.

Joy, I’m so so sorry to hear this news. Sending you all the good vibes possible. I do also love a good emotional support toast. That, and of course, some Cajun rice and gravy. (And maybe a handful of peanut m&ms when things are really dire.) Love and hugs!

This is a lot and I’m sending you good thoughts, Joy! When I’m needing emotional support food, I buy a variety of premade desserts from one of the fancier grocery stores.

Nothing to contribute as far as emotional support foods, but I just wanted to say that I’m thinking about you. I’m so sorry for this miserable pile on that you are dealing with.

Oh, Joy, what a week. I'm sorry to read of your challenges. Please know that you're in my thoughts!

My emotional support snack: applesauce pouches. Easy, fast.

I'd be interested in learning about cooking classes you might offer! And writingwise, consider pitching an essay or anything to us at Broad Street Review. https://www.broadstreetreview.com/writers-guidelines

just: virtual, internet-stranger hugs. Sorry you're having a rough time right now. I would probably reward my post-surgical self with some really nice chocolates/chocolate cake/brownies

What a week...sending warm wishes and positive vibes your way, Joy! I understand your anxiety as I've had this procedure myself, but it all went well for me. My go-to comfort food is soup and sourdough...something about warm soup and soft bread is just so comforting!

I hope this all turns out to be positive changes for you in the future. I’ve also had quite a week and am making your delicata nachos tonight with my first delicata squash of the season. I am also a big fan of soup as comfort food.
